Jill Means:
Jill graduated from Brigham Young University with a BFA in Graphic Design and has worked as a graphic designer for over 15 years. "I worked primarily doing corporate design work; logos, brochures, advertising, promotions. In the last two years I started dabbling in the stationery industry, getting my feet wet designing cards and templates for several companies. ...and I fell in love with it!" So in May, 2011, Jill launched Brightside Prints, a collaboration of some of her favorite designers. Jill lives in Lodi, California with her husband, Scott and five children ages 5-14.
Emily Hart-Wood:
Emily was born and raised in the suburbs of Salt Lake City, Utah running around in the mountains and snowboarding. Since studying Renaissance and Contemporary art in Italy and graduating from the BFA program at Weber State University, she has been showing her paintings at the Blonde Grizzly in Salt Lake City and the R&R Gallery in Los Angeles. She is excited to be getting into more design work with Brightside Prints. She also has a new line of longboard designs coming out for Losee Longboards. Her work is inspired by music, places, stories and imagination. She paints and designs from a home studio, where her little boy does artwork beside her. It is through her work that she is trying to explore the moments that captivate. She loves the arts, snowboarding, traveling, books, good food and mostly being with her little family.
Hello Hailey:
Hailey graduated from Central Michigan University with a BFA in Graphic Design. Hailey initially worked as a designer for Adagio Graphics in Michigan before moving to Brooklyn, New York where she started her career as freelance designer in print & web design, and children’s illustration. "When I’m not at my desk, I love taking trips to the park, making ice cream (mango is my current favorite), or playing with my cat (who thinks she’s a dog) – Mucha – named after my favorite art-nouveau artist, Alphonse Mucha."
Palm Papers:
Lauren Chism is the owner and designer behind Palm Papers, a stationery and design studio named for her love of the beach and her destination wedding, which is how it all began. Her own wedding invitation was her first design project and where she discovered her passion for creating gorgeous stationery. With a ‘less is more’ approach to design, her aesthetic is clean and elegant, with a focus on beautiful type, subtle details and luxurious paper. She graduated with a Master’s degree in accounting from Texas A&M University. She’s an accountant by day and a stationery designer by night (and lunch breaks and weekends). Lauren lives in Dallas, Texas with her husband, Carter and sweet pooch, Marley. Together, they enjoy trying local restaurants, biking around their neighborhood lake, and relaxing on the patio with a glass of wine.
Jana Volfova:
Jana was born and raised in the heart of Europe - the Czech Republic. After graduating she moved to Canada and worked as a designer for Canada’s largest sporting goods retailer in their web and print studios for nine years. "I developed a love for stationery design after creating my daughter's birth announcement card five years ago". Now running her own stationery shop, Yourinvites.ca, from Calgary, Alberta, she also designs for a couple of other companies including Brightside Prints. "I feel very fortunate to be able to work creatively from home where I can also spend time with my two young children."
Lucky Girl Creative:
Roxanne Buchholz was born and raised in Southern California. She has degrees in Graphic Design and Psychology from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo and worked at prestigious design firms in Los Angeles and Minneapolis prior to operating her own international packaging design firm. With over 20 years of design experience, she served as a global packaging designer and consultant for Unilever consumer brands in over 32 countries. Roxanne and her husband, Greg, have two sons and now spend time between their homes in Canton, Georgia and Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
